Votiva is not simply the contemporary art collection of the city of Parabita. Its aim is to recover fragments of forgotten history and return them to collective life. Conceived as a cultural and social experiment, Votiva seeks to reactivate shared spaces, encouraging reflection, dialogue and participation, while questioning the lasting presence of artworks in everyday life. Installed within the edicole votive scattered throughout the town, the project engages directly with the urban fabric, transforming devotional sites into places of contemporary artistic encounter. Votiva involved sixteen Italian and international artists, creating a constellation of diverse visual experiences and, ultimately, fostering a fertile ground for the regeneration of the local community.
