POLIGNANO - OMAGGIO A DOMENICO MODUGNO
This project documents “Polignano a Mare Città della Musica – Omaggio a Domenico Modugno – Grandi Artisti, Bande in Festa”, a three-day musical celebration held in Polignano a Mare in 2025, honoring the legacy of Domenico Modugno. The festival combined itinerant musical processions by local bands with evening performances by leading artists of Italian contemporary music, including Vinicio Capossela, La Niña and Renzo Rubino, among others. The photographic work captures both the movement of the bands through the streets of the town and the energy of the live performances in Piazza Suor Maria Laselva, highlighting the interplay of tradition, community and contemporary musical expression. Rather than a conventional concert report, the imagery reflects the festival’s dynamic atmosphere — where music, ritual and place coalesce into a collective experience.
